GD Fae - Fitztown

A new challenge is up and running at the Fitztown Challenge Blog. It's anything goes with a twist something old/new. Head on over to enter your projects. Remember if you use a Fiztown image you will be entered in to win the prize!

I have colored this beautiful Fae image with my promarkers.  I went with more of the fall colors to fit the cooler weather we have been having.  I used my oldest papers, rhinestones and ribbon from my stash and a new doily that I had just found! It took me forever to find them.  I also used a new flower that I fell in love with.  Stickles were added to the flower centers. My handy glitter gel pen was used on the wings.  A shimmer spritz was used to make the flower glittery but it seems to have not really worked as well as I would have liked. I shall try some stickles next time!  Such a pleasure to work with this image!

Pumpkin Pickles

Hello again! My second post for the day. I saw this adorable image from Lacy Sunshine and just had to have him.  How cute is he? I colored him with my promarkers.  I followed the sketch from From the heart stamps for the card layout.  I used paper from my stash.  There is some stitching on the orange ribbon at the top and I did my first hand stitching around Pickles.  I added some cute pumpkin ribbon at the bottom and a party sentiment.  The bats are punched from an EK success punch.

Tangled

Hello my crafty friends! This is my first DT post for Challenges4Everybody and I am so excited to share it with you. It means so much that they have given me a chance to be a part of their team considering how new to card making I am! Head on over to enter your current projects for a chance to win the five images my wonderful DT buddies and I  have used to inspire you for this challenge! Sherri Baldy is our sponsor for this challenge.

I have been a follower of this blog for awhile now and was so pleased to be offered a chance to be a part of their Design Team.  Tickled pink I guess you could say. So what better color scheme to use for my first card than pink of course.  I happen to be a huge fan of pink and chocolate colors together.  I just think they mesh so well.  I colored in this image by Sherri Baldy. How adorable is she with that long hair?  She reminded me of the film Tangled that my adorable nieces made me watch over and over! I am working on learning how to color and blend better. Practice, practice, practice.... Never give up! I used a Martha Stewart punch to make the leaves and glued together the flowers with a pearl added to the center.  Two cute little pink buttons were added next to the image.  I used my stampin up oval and scalloped oval punches for the Happy Birthday sentiment.  The fun sentiment is a die cut sticker.  I added a hint of glitter to the flower in her hair and on the flowers on her legs with my glitter gel pen.  I used papers from my stash that I picked up at a yard sale earlier this summer. I have followed the sketch at Sketch and Stash for the card layout.  I really enjoyed making this card for my first DT post and hope to do many more in the future.

Purrfect

Just a few more days left to enter the Pearls, Ribbon and Lace challenge over at Fitztown Challenge Blog. Use of of their cute digis to be entered for a chance to win! I colored one of their kitten floral images with promarkers.  I added some stickles to each of the flowers to make them a bit more sparkly.  The sentiment and ball of yarn were stamped from an unknown clear stamp set that I had laying around that I felt went purrfectly with this image! Pearls and ribbon lace were added.  All the papers were from my stash.

GD Crafting with Dragonflies

Hi again!! Here is the card I made as a guest designer for Crafting with Dragonflies. I am very happy to be a guest designer for them! Very friendly and supportive they are! As a beginner card maker I am very grateful for the opportunity to work with challenge blogs. The challenge for the next two weeks there is using your scraps (5 designer papers).  So pull out your papers and get crafting! I made this fall/school themed card with papers from my stash.  I used Bookish Tia for my digi stamp from Some Odd Girl.  I love her stamps.  Very fun to color. I used a metal sticker for my sentiment.  Clear pearls were use around the image.  I matted each layer of designer paper with card stock.  I was told that it helps make each piece pop and I must say that person is correct! It is a technique I need to use more often.  I hope you enjoy this card!

Blair Blaze

I love this witch image from Kenny K called Blair Blaze! The site is currently have a discount sale on their Halloween bundle so I had to get them to try out! I colored her with my Promarkers and added a bit of glitter on her belt with my gel glitter pen.  I used 5 pieces of designer paper with a Halloween theme.  A piece of lace was added across the top.  I had a lot of fun coloring this image.  The fire on her dress was my favorite part and I think it came out quite nice!My first time putting ink on the card stock around the image as well.  I think I need to get myself an ink applicator tool to help me ink the edges a bit more smoothly!

Friendship Card

Hi everyone! I recently purchased the Paper Pumpkin kit from Stampin' Up.  They were having a sale where you could get the kits for two months at $10 a piece instead of the normal $19.95. Perfect time for me to give it a try.  The kit came with card stock, designer paper, a small ink pad, acrylic block, the friend stamp and embellishments.  I put it all together and then decided to color and add a digital image from on of my favorite digital stamp companies Bugaboo Stamps. I colored the image with my Promarkers and added some glitter to the wings and hat with my gel glitter pen.  I love that pen. The easiest way for me to apply glitter and NOT get it all over the place.  I hope you enjoy this bright little card!
